I'm back...
I posted here a couple of weeks ago about my father in laws final days in a long fight with cancer. Well that struggle ended over the past weekend, and I've had a few sleepless nights resulting in lost work days because of matters attendant with his passing.
[update: erm... I've actually gotten my terminology a bit off. It wasn't my father in law who passed, but my step dad. So news of my father in laws death were pre mature which I'm certain will come as a relief from his perspective.]

my condolences to you, your wife, and loved ones... losses like that are always hard, particularly when it's end-stage cancer...
Sorry to hear of your loss, brother. Things of this nature have a ripple-effect on all involved. I counsel people to always dwell on the positive. The best memorial is good memories. Maybe you could put together a post of a touching, or funny remembrance of him, like one thing you'll never forget about him.
